Steven Cassedy, Professor of Literature and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies at UCSD, is a classically trained pianist who studied at the Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division and at the University of Michigan’s School of Music. He received his undergraduate degree in comparative literature at the University of Michigan in 1974 and his Ph.D. in comparative literature at Princeton University in 1979.
